The Veyron 16.4: A Continuation of Bugatti Tradition
The contours of a Bugatti has always been the work of highly talented hands - disregarding the fact, whether created by the founder himself, Ettore Bugatti, or by his son, the most gifted Jean Bugatti. Each Bugatti car has been manufactured by hand by the team of some 1200 employees of the company. This tradition will be continued with the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 - also in regard to the constant endeavour to reach for the highest degree of elegance, aiming for the creation of an automotive piece of art. Developed under these auspices, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 has succeeded in combining an exceptional performance potential with an elegant and sportive shape. The classic two-colour enameling of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 reminds us of another aspect. This feature forms a stylistic link between the past and the future of the brand name. As a direct quote from the tradition of the trademark, the fine edge length-wise following the full length of the body speaks the same language.
Other unmistakable stylistic Bugatti elements remain to be the precious and chromium-plated radiator shutter, perfectly integrated in its classic form into the aerodynamically styled body. Additional air intake openings complete the traditional radiator shutter without stylistically competing with it. Together with the wide head lamps, an exciting interaction of all these characteristic and unique elements has been created in the frontal section.
The short body stand-outs and the highly profiled curves underline the athletic appearance of the vehicle. In particular, this applies to the rear part, which is defined by the largely protruding fenders. An imaginary prolongation of the area of the side window towards the rear lateral part causes and equally impressive effect.
Interior
The interior of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is a "whole new world" by itself in terms of exclusivity, quality of workmanship and functionality. The feeling for something very special uninterruptedly continues into the interior of the car. Sportive and luxurious elements form here a unique symbiosis, whose functional interconnection instantly becomes apparent in the interaction of the individual components so genially set in harmony with each other and which on first sight conveys a maximum superiority. The instruments of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with its large centrally located tachometer and the four surrounding additional instruments recall the legendary car racing past of the trademark. By the way, this particular feature clearly demonstrates, that virtues of car racing, such as doing without something superfluous, provides not only an interesting contrast to today's trend to overloading but also conveys the impression of a harmonic perfection in the overall concept of the interior and, in this way, emanates a uniquely concentrated and uncompromising sportiveness. An optimal sound in the interior is provided by a high-end sound system built by Dieter Burmester, Berlin's Hi-Fi manufacturer par excellence. The functional switches embedded into the instrument panel, the center console and in a module on the sky are designed as precious and stylistically consistent toggle switches. Their traditional appearance underscores the sportiveness of the interior.
